Once you get past a few concepts it's quite a fun game. It's just right for my current mood right now which is I want something challenging but simple. However, that said, it's pretty good for what it is, and the game is coming along quite nicely and does seem promising for the future. The game definitely needs fleshing out and balancing, that's for sure, but for what it is right now, it's okay - nothing to have a raging game-boner over, honestly. It is an alpha, after all, so content is lacking and everything is a somewhat unpolished or unbalanced. That said, the game is pretty good as it is, but it's still pretty crude. Simply put, you just can't always force specific chokepoints - you can encourage them, but they don't always work out, so you will have to accomodate and change how you play a bit. However, since this is only a TD-like you can't pin down one solid strategy, and the deeper you go the harder the game gets, and the more branches you need to explore. Tower defense is a somewhat logical, straightforward type of game to play, and if you don't create chokepoints - places to focus your strength - you're going to let enemies through. Being smart and thinking strategically help.Īre there better strategies than others?
